FEELING FROGGY
Did you know out of over 6,000 species of frogs in the world, Maine is home to just 9 of them!
Here is a lake with 2 names, Frogs, Lillie pads, lots of wildlife & beautiful views right on RT.94.
In 1955, an act of legislation legally changed the name of the little pond from Puffer's Pond to Echo Lake, unknowingly to the towns people and for unknown reasons.
Because of that, it is still widely, and locally known as Puffers Pond, likely named after early settlers by said name.
While you are here, throw in a line or get into a boat and tread the peacefully waters and when it's just the right moment give a peaceful holler "Hello!?", chances are the only Echo you will hear will be the bellow of a bullfrog or a loon waiting to snack on him!
