Come on down and enjoy the view !!! Directly across from where the cache is located, you should see a distant point of land jutting out into the Goodwood (Bideford) River. A short distance upriver from this point of land is where the original Ellis Shipbuilding yard was located. This yard predated the shipyards constructed here at Green Park. One can only contemplate that during the shipbuilding era of 150 years ago, tall masted ships would have been a common everyday sight in these waters. As you stand on this spot just imagine the masts reaching to the sky…... the sails of the incoming and departing ships billowing in the winds…….
