Geocache Description:

The Nyonindo is a pilgrimage route that connects Nyonindo, which was placed outside the precincts of Koyasan, for women to visit Koyasan until the ban on women was lifted in 1872.
There are seven roads leading to Koyasan (Koya Shichimichi), and at each entrance (Koya Nanakuchi), a barrier for women was established, and seven Nyonindo halls were built as sanctuary halls for female believers.

Fudo Sakaguchi's Nyonindo is the only existing Nyonindo, and was officially called Isshinindani Nyonindo.
In particular, this Nyonindo was popular with women, and it is said that there were many pilgrims.
