高野山入口である大門の近く、女人道沿いにある「お助け地蔵尊」は、一つだけ願い事を叶えてくれると言われており、このお地蔵様に病気の治癒を願ったところ、たちまち治った事から「お助け地蔵尊」や「一願地蔵尊」と呼ばれるようになったそうです。
いまでも、全国からたくさんの人がお参りに来る、お地蔵さまです。
It is said that the Otasuke Jizoson, located along the Nyoninmiti near Daimon, the entrance to Koyasan, will grant you one wish. Because of this, it is said that it came to be called "Otasuke Jizoson" or "Ichigan Jizoson".
Even now, many people from all over the country come to visit Jizo.
