„In Rock“ ist das vierte Album der britischen Hardrocker Deep Purple und wurde 1970 veröffentlicht. Es enthält in der ursprünglichen Pressung sieben Songs, darunter die Über-Hits „Speed King“ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDyO7jTIKDc) und „Child in Time“ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OorZcOzNcgE). Eingespielt wurde es von der legendären Besetzung mit Ian Gillan (Gesang), Ritchie Blackmore (Gitarre), Roger Glover (Bass), Jon Lord (Keyboards) und Ian Paice (Schlagzeug).
Auf dem Cover scheinen sich Deep Purple einen kleinen Witz erlaubt zu haben: Auf der Zeichnung des Mount Rushmore (USA) sind nicht die Köpfe der vier amerikanischen Präsidenten George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt und Abraham Lincoln zu sehen, sondern die Köpfe der fünf Bandmitglieder – und damit einen Kopf mehr als im Original.

"In Rock" is the fourth album by British hard rockers Deep Purple and was released in 1970. It contains seven songs in the original pressing, including the big hits "Speed King" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nDyO7jTIKDc) and "Child in Time" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OorZcOzNcgE).
