Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the headline coordinates, so PLEASE DO NOT SEARCH THERE. However, you will need to deal with some headliners to find its true location!

The CO has spent many a sunny (and sometimes rainy!) evening with a pint of cider in hand, listening to top performers ‘banging out their choons’ in the nearby attraction!

In order to find the location of the cache, you’ll need to do a bit of research into the various performers who have headlined sessions here over the years.

To avoid any ambiguity resulting from a performer playing again in the future, please consider all questions and solutions to be relevant UP TO the point that this cache was placed (1st July 2023).

The cache is hidden at N50° AB.CDE W004° CC.DBF

Where:
A = The number of times Kaiser Chiefs have performed.
B = The number of times Tom Jones has performed.
C = The last digit of the year that Primal Scream and Supergrass performed.
D = The last digit of the year that KT Tunstall performed.
E = The last digit of the year that Muse, Goldfrapp, Snow Patrol and Magic Numbers performed.
F = The last digit of the year that Elton John and Spandau Ballet performed.

The combination that you need to use to open the 3D printed cryptex (made by the CO) containing the logbook can be worked out using the following formula:

First number of combination = D+F
Second number of combination = B
Third number of combination = A+B
Fourth number of combination = E+C
Final number of combination = D+A+F

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
