South East UK Mega 2024
What is it?
A Mega is a geocaching event attended by more than 500 people. Since 2008, the UK Mega has been an annual roving event to showcase different areas of the UK. It is regularly attended by up to 2000 people and has become a fixture in the calendar of many geocachers, both from the UK and abroad. In 2024 it will come to South East England for the first time.
On the day of the Mega Event there will be trade stands, refreshments, entertainment and some special Adventure Labs, plus the chance to meet old friends and make new ones.
When is it?
The Mega Event will be on Saturday 3rd August 2024 from 10:00 to 16:00
Camping and Side Events will run all week from 29th July to 5th August 2024

The South of England Showground is set in the beautiful Sussex countryside, and located just 36 miles from London and 20 miles from Brighton. It is perfectly situated in the centre of the South East region and has plenty of free parking. If you’re travelling by rail or air, it is easily accessible from mainline rail stations and just 11 miles from London Gatwick Airport
The Mega Event and the evening events will be held on-site in the Queen Jubilee Hall.
Camping
Our campsite will be open from Monday 29th July 2024 through to Monday 5th August 2024. It will be at the north end of the Showground site and most of the pitches will be direct drive-on from hard standing. The site has a number of permanent toilet and shower blocks and mains EHU will be available.

Getting Here
By Car
The North Car Park entrance of the South of England Event Centre is on the B2028 Selsfield Road close to the centre of Ardingly village. For Sat Nav use RH17 6TL.
From the M25, exit at junction 7 and follow the M23 towards Brighton. Leave at junction 10 and take the A264 towards East Grinstead. After approximately two miles turn right onto the B2028. After passing through the villages of Turners Hill and Selsfield Common you will arrive at the South of England Event Centre on your right.
By Rail
The nearest railway station is Haywards Heath which is on the main line between London Victoria and Brighton. Journey times are 45 minutes from London Victoria and 20 minutes from Brighton followed by a 10-minute journey by bus to the Event Centre.
By Bus
There is a bus stop situated close to the main entrance to the Showground with a very limited bus service on the 272 Metrobus route.
