Fases de combate a incêndios: Análise e Comunicação de Risco, Ataque Inicial, Ataque Ampliado, Confinamento ou Evacuação de Emergência, Rescaldo, Vigilância Ativa e Consolidação de Rescaldo e por fim, Restabelecimento de Segurança
Etapas de um incêndio rural: Incêndio Ativo (Em Curso), Incêndio Dominado (Em Resolução), Incêndio em Rescaldo (Em Conclusão), Reativação (Em Curso), Incêndio Extinto (Finalizado) e por fim, Vigilância Ativa.
- Emissão de Pareceres Técnicos
O que é: emissão, consoante legislação em vigor, de pareceres técnicos no que respeita a prevenção e segurança contra riscos de incêndio e outros sinistros.
O que é e quem executa: "Integrado" na Autoridade Marítima, o Instituto de Socorros a Náufragos tem atribuições de direção técnica para as áreas do salvamento marítimo (e fluvial), socorro a náufragos e assistência a banhistas.
Transporte de Doentes em Urgência Pré-Hospitalar
O que é: Estabilização pré-hospitalar e transporte assistido e adequado das vítimas para o hospital em articulação com hospitais, bombeiros, polícia, etc.
Onde estão: As ambulâncias de socorro coordenadas pelos centros de orientação de doentes urgentes existem em corporações de bombeiros, delegações da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa e unidades de saúde.
Tipos de ambulâncias/transporte de socorro: Existem alguns tipos de ambulância como é o caso das ambulâncias de socorro e as ambulâncias de emergência médica (ambulâncias que se destinam a estabilizar e transportar doentes que necessitem de assistência durante o transporte como por exemplo medidas de suporte básico de vida e desfibrilhação automática externa), ambulâncias de suporte imediato de vida(ambulâncias que além dos cuidados prestados pelas ambulâncias de emergência podem administrar fármacos e realizar atos terapêuticos invasivos, sendo adequadas para assistência e transporte de vitimas de acidente ou doença súbita bem como transporte inter hospitalar de doentes críticos), viatura médica de emergência e reanimação (veículos para o transporte de uma equipa médica ao local onde se encontra o doente, para situações médicas ou traumatológicas, em que seja necessário Suporte Avançado de Vida, helicópteros de emergência médica (transporte de doentes graves entre unidades de saúde ou entre o local onde está o doente e a unidade de saúde), motas de emergência médica ( chegada mais ágil do primeiro socorro com o objetivo de estabilizar a pessoa que necessita de assistência, sendo no entanto mais limitada no que respeita aos recursos materiais que transporta),unidade móvel de intervenção psicológica de emergência (transporte de psicólogo até à vitima), transporte inter-hospitalar pediátrico (transporte e estabilização de crianças até aos 18 anos), viatura de intervenção em catástrofe (quando estejam envolvidas várias vitimas, permitindo a montagem de um posto médico avançado)
- Transporte não urgente de Doentes
O que é: transporte para unidades de saúde, destinado a pessoas com necessidade de prestação de cuidados médicos não urgentes, sem possibilidade de se deslocarem sozinhas.
Para que serve: Transporte de doentes para consulta, internamento, cirurgia de ambulatório, tratamentos, exames complementares de diagnóstico e terapêutica ou ainda para transporte de doentes no seu regresso a casa após alta de internamento ou de urgência.
Quem realiza o transporte: SNS (se se verificarem certas condições), pelo seguro ou a nível particular.
Como se realiza o transporte: ambulância, veículo dedicado ao transporte de doentes.

- Non-urgent Transport of Patients
What it is: transport to health units, intended for people in need of non-urgent medical care, without the possibility of traveling alone.
What it is used for: Transportation of patients for consultations, hospitalization, outpatient surgery, treatments, complementary diagnostic and therapeutic tests or even for the transportation of patients on their return home after hospitalization or emergency discharge.
Who carries out the transport: SNS (if certain conditions are met), by insurance or privately.
How transport is carried out: ambulance, vehicle dedicated to the transport of patients.
[A cache/ The cache]
Esta cache tem o intuito de dar a conhecer o espaço dos Bombeiros Voluntários do Porto Santo e as suas vertentes de intervenção no cotidiano.
A cache é simples e está num local bastante acessível. Contém apenas o logbook. Não precisa de entrar nas instalações dos BVPS, e sequer, passar o portão da área exterior, embora possa fazê-lo. Contudo, pedimos que tenha o máximo de discrição na busca pela cache, de modo, a perturbar o mínimo possível as atividades laborais dos BVPS, e para a cache durar bastante tempo. Relembro que, apesar de não ser necessário entrar nas instalações, a cache encontra-se dentro do perímetro dos BVSP. Porém, é possível alcançá-la sem entrar, apenas terá de esticar-se, ou até não. Está muito perto do muro que divide os BVSP da estrada. De salientar, que os BVPS têm total conhecimento desta cache. A mesma, foi colocada apenas após dialogar com alguns membros, que gostaram da ideia e disseram que não haveria problemas. Mesmo assim, pedimos máxima discrição e respeito pelo espaço. Não importune.
