There is a well-maintained, 3km (1.8 mile) circular walk around the Lower Lliw Reservoir that can be extended to also include the Upper Lliw Reservoir.
Keep an eye out for the sculptures of native wildlife made from Welsh oak by a Swansea sculpture artist. These include a rabbit, heron and hedgehog, among others. Various techniques have been used: hand carving, chainsaw carving, sanding, torching, and oiling.
The closest parking is in the car park, near the cafe on the south-eastern side of the reservoir. This is marked as a waypoint. Unfortunately, there is a fee to use the car park: £2.50 for the entire day. There is a barrier at the end of the road that closes at night.
As with all of our caches, we would like everyone to have the same surprise, so please don't give away the unique aspect of the cache in your logs, or upload photos of the cache to the cache page. But we would love to read other things about your caching escapade, and perhaps see any other photos that you think sum up your day.
And, if you can't find the cache, or think that it needs maintenance, please let us know via a "DNF" or by using the "Report a problem" function.
