TurtleLP: I went out to check this cache the other day and it is gone. It was not hidden in the best place and on weekends this area can be filled with muggles.
In the beginning a number of years ago, no notifications were sent to the owners of adventure labs when a cacher found all of the locations. So, I would hide an AL bonus cache so I would be notified when someone had completed my AL by finding the bonus cache. I like to send out thank you notes to the cachers that find my caches and ALs. Now, geocaching.com notifies the cache owner when the cacher posts a review after finding all of the locations. Now, it is not important to me to hide a bonus cache.
Since, this bonus cache is in a difficult spot I see no reason to keep it active. My goal is to have cachers find the bonus after spending the time to go to all the locations and solve the puzzle. I do not want to frustrate them with a difficult hide. I know the disappointment from not finding a bonus cache after completing the AL. Plus, like I mentioned before, this is not a good location due to muggles plus it is difficult for me to access to maintain. I do not want to slip and fall on the rocks, nor do I want others to do the same.
