Geocache Description:

A Letterbox Hybrid that is NOT hidden at the coordinates but is nearby. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!

To find this letterbox, start at the posted coordinates, and look for a large sign with a 3 digit number (sign is large and brown, not small and wooden, see the picture). This number is your "Quantum of Solace." Once you have the Quantum of Solace, you can either enter it into the Certitude Checker below, OR you can project a waypoint (true) north 360 degrees (or alternately, find line of sight) for a distance of 591 feet. There is a old faint roadbed that goes generally north which you will reach about the time you finish your projection led walk.  On the right or east side of this road is a boulder with an obvious rockpile on the east side that is just begging to have a large ammocan.  This is the letterbox hybrid.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

The Ian Fleming's James Bond series of geocaches is to honor the amazing original books (not the movies).  Written by Ian Fleming in the 1950-60s, they remain amazing even post-Cold War.  The James Bond in the novels doesn't rely on exploding pens or other gadgets, and his escapes and triumphs aren't unbelievable like the movies.  He is a good fighter and even better with his gun, but his greatest trait is his ability to use whatever tools are at hand, with a keen sense of intelligence.  His skills include card playing, skiing, golf, and he is a sniper level marksman.  He is 007; the double 0 prefix means he is licensed to kill, but the real Bond doesn't enjoy it.  He smokes too much, drinks too much, but he doesn't sleep around as much as the movies suggest (in fact he exercises surprising self control in many cases).  The end of most books has him spending several weeks in the hospital recovering from injuries, not running off with the "Bond Woman." He was married once, and also became a father.  As is often the case, the books are far better than the movies (although I thoroughly enjoyed the movies with Sean Connery and Daniel Craig).

Ian Fleming describes James Bond as  "certainly good-looking ... Rather like Hoagy Carmichael in a way. That black hair falling down over the right eyebrow. Much the same bones. But there was something a bit cruel in the mouth, and the eyes were cold."- Moonraker.  The sketch below was done by Fleming for newspapers and comic books.

This is a letterbox hybrid. In addition to the normal logbook and trade items, it also contains a letterbox stamp, inkpad, and stamp book. Please do not remove the stamp, ink pad, or stamp book. THEY ARE NOT TRADE ITEMS!
