The cache is hidden on the King Creek Falls trail. King Creek Falls is a 70-foot waterfall that tumbles through a laurel-choked gorge and is one of those spots that gives itself over to hikers of all abilities.
After a moderate 30-minute hike you will reach a spot where you can relax all day long on a tree trunk and enjoy the spray from the falls. Perhaps, it is the backward slant of the rocks, but in any case the drop appears to be much higher than 70 feet.
The original cache was missing. The cache has been replaced. It is now a hard plastic ammo can with a rubber seal to prevent moisture from getting into the cache (see log for 12-24-17). Please make sure the cache is properly locked and secured.
The contents of the new cache are:
- a sewing patch kit
- a bag of 50 marbles including a Super Shooter
- two Clemson key chains
- an EverPet Furry Mice cat toy
- two toy Spinners
- deluxe nail clipper
- a Matchbox toy truck
- an EverPet printed plush dog toy, (if you got a treasure for the cats, you must have one for the dog)
- a Magic Grow bath sea animals foam grow capsules
- a Yankee Candle Car Jar air freshner, (Midnight Madness scent)
- two food clips like the ones to secure chip bags
- a Magic Milk Bottle
- a Nature World Creepy Animal
I've included a log book and pencils for finders to record their visit. If the cache is in need of some maintenance, please let me know through your computer logs or send me an e-mail by clicking on my GeoCache profile. Thank you for re-concealing the cache so that no part is visible to hikers from the trail. And, above all else, enjoy the beautiful South Carolina outdoors.
