Hurrah for Dinosaurs!
This area of Utah is amazing for many reasons. Beauty is probably most people's first admiration. Who first enjoyed these incredible views? Native Americans? Yes, as far as people go. But dinosaurs roamed here long before people did. Did they appreciate the views? Neh. Doubtful. But they have had a great impact on the surroundings and in the cache we honor them and their contribution to the environment and area around.
I don't know about you, but after surviving coming up the path from either direction, I certainly needed a break to get out and stretch my legs and calm my nerves. This is not my kind of adventure, but the second time here and after DNFing the nearby Hurrah Pass cache, hubby suggested we place another cache here. I quickly agreed and after checking out our container filled with containers, we settled on the dinosaur one. Josh found a spot to place it. I had already injured myself several times on this trip, so I was just fine waiting at the bottom of the rock pile he climbed up into. I hope the coords are accurate.
D/T is based on difficulty on getting to this point of the road as well as the small hike and climbing the rocks. See gallery for some picture hints if you would like to make the find go quicker. There is nothing "tricky" or "evil" about the hide. Of course, please cover it back up completely as we assume people climb up these rocks on a regular basis.
