Das kleine und unscheinbare TB und Coin Hotel lädt seine Gäste zu einer Rast auf Ihrer Reise ein und bietet Platz für ein eine handvoll Übernachtungsgäste.
Dank des Ausbaus wichtiger nationaler und internationaler Verkehrsadern in der Region ist dieses Häuschen durch die günstige Lage plötzlich in den Mittelpunkt gerückt.
Was erst mal nach einem Scherz klingt ist tatsächlich nicht absurd. Ein kurzer Abschnitt der B299 ist zu einem bedeutenden Drehkreuz für den Urlaubsverkehr geworden.
Angefangen hat es mit der lokalen Bäckerei, die ein Tagescafé unweit von hier in Blicknähe der Bundesstraße errichtet hat. Eine zunehmende Zahl von Tagesausflügler aus nordöstlicher Richtung statten sich dort auf dem Weg in die Chiemgauer Alpen oder an den Chiemsee mit Snacks aus und kommen hier direkt vorbei.
Große überregionale und internationale Bedeutung erhielt die Route mit dem Ausbau der B15n nach Landshut für Reisende über Regensburg von und nach Salzburg und weiter nach Villach. Gut ausgebaut, wie sie ist, wurde diese Route durch die etwas kürzere Strecke besonders bei Gespannen oder Campern schnell beliebt, die auch auf Autobahn keine höheren Geschindigkeiten erreichen.
Weiteren Zuwachs auf der Strecke brachte die Fertigstellung der A94 im selben Jahr 2019 - allerdings mit etwas Verzögerung. Während 2020 und 2021 insgesamt die Mehrzahl der (an sich wenigen) Reisenden diese Route noch nicht auf dem Schirm hatte, wurde diese Verbindung nun zur echten Alternativroute von München nach Salzburg (und vice versa) zum Dauerurlaubsstau auf der A8 am Inntaldeieck.

This small and inconspicuous TB and Coin Hotel invites its guests for a rest and offers space for a handful of overnighters.
Thanks to the expansion of important national and international traffic arteries in the region, this little house has suddenly become the centre of attention due to its convenient location.
What at first sounds like a joke is actually not that absurd: this short section of the B299 has become a major hub for holiday traffic.
It started with the local bakery, which has set up a day café not far from here, within sight of the main road. An increasing number of day trippers from the northeast stock up on snacks there on their way to the Chiemgauer Alps or Lake Chiemsee and pass right by here.
The route gained great supra-regional and international importance with the expansion of the B15n to Landshut for travellers via Regensburg to and from Salzburg and further on to Villach. Well developed as it is, this route quickly became popular due to the somewhat shorter distance, especially with caravans or campers who cannot reach higher speeds even on the autobahn.
Further growth on the route was brought about by the completion of the A94 also in the year 2019 - with some delay. While in 2020 and 2021 the majority of travellers (few in fact) did not yet have this route in mind, this connection now became a real alternative from Munich to Salzburg (and vice versa) to the almost permanently holiday traffic jammed A8 at the Inntaldeieck.
