Geocache Description:
11% of the roads in Harford County are dirt or gravel. The county refers to them as "earth" roads. For more information see GCA82N9.
These various caches take you around Harford County to "experience" these roads from the past.
Three connecting unpaved roads near the Little Gunpowder Falls near Fallston, MD.
Dirt #17 Guyton
Dirt #18 Bottom
Dirt #19 Laurel
The Little Gunpowder Falls is 25.2 miles long. Downstream is the Jerusalem Mill Historic Village and the Jericho Covered Bridge. The river joins with the BIG GUNPOWDER RIVER at Day's Island to form the Gunpowder River. The river empties into the Chesapeake Bay at Carroll Island. My best idea of its source is north near Troyer Road.
Cache Description:
Laurel Brook Road joins Bottom Road. While much is paved from Old Fallston Road it is unpaved near Bottom Road.
The OVERSHOT BRANCH runs alongside the road.
Parking is very close to the cache.
