In 1906, the Rochester Syracuse Eastern Railroad began operations in the area. By 2023, the trail had been overtaken by bicycles, hikers, dog walkers, and... grapes. Grapes of wrath, grasping tree trunks, growing upward to the furthest reaches, and dominating the ageless fight for water and sunlight.
