This golden cache is a liar's cache.
At the posted coordinates you will find a small container hidden in a very predictable way; beyond that, you are on your own. You can bring whatever tools and equipment you think you'll need.
The jackhammer cleared most of the debris on the second shaft from the right at stage 6 and the ice has thawed well inside the submerged scuba dihedral of stage 12. After that, sneaking past the marines guarding stage 17 is a lot easier with UV and four avocados; thank me later. You don't need snowshoes and ice crampons to scale the north face couloirs and crevasses but it helps when tackling stage 22.
