“Wake up Toby, we’re going on an Adventure”!

June 6, 2023. 

I know  what that means, mom and I are off for a day of geocaching. Today mom and I went to Custer, Michigan to take care of her grandparents gravesite, and then we went to Ludington. It was a great day as I got to do all of my favorite things. I went for walks, I got lots of attention from people, I got to play with other dogs and oh so many new smells. We found Adventure Labs, puzzles, and stopped at a lot of Dollar Generals along the way. What a fun day and now we’re driving home and I’m so tired…..

“Toby, we’re home”. 

Yawn…what a dream. As I slept soundly on our drive home I dreamt about another trip mom and I made to Custer when I was just a puppy. We took a walk along the Pere Marquette Rail Trail to find a cache my mom had DNF’ed a few years ago, before I was even born.  We got to the right spot and mom started looking and looking. I was having fun at first sniffing all the new smells but after a while I was pretty bored. I walked on the other side of the massive pine tree and found this thing laying on the ground. I picked it up in my mouth and showed it to my mom who just ignored me. Hmmm, guess I’ll just chew on this thing. That got moms attention and she told me to give it to her and then she was so happy and hugged me and told me what a good boy I was. That “thing” I found was the geocache mom was searching for. 

That cache was GC5YEWW “9th cache from Sophie the geopup”

9-16-2016 and I was only 4 months old.
