Il Bosco degli Ontani è un’area naturale caratterizzata dalla presenza di tante piccole polle di risorgiva, ovvero affioramenti della falda freatica: le acque meteoriche e fluviali scendono nel sottosuolo attraverso il terreno ghiaioso dell’alta pianura per poi spuntare decine di chilometri più a sud, spinte dal terreno impermeabile della bassa pianura, in una fascia di ampiezza contenuta (tra i 2 e i 30 km a seconda della zona). Venendo filtrate a lungo da ghiaia e sabbia, le acque di risorgiva sono particolarmente pure, limpide e fresche (temperatura costante di 12-14 gradi) e creano paesaggi di notevole bellezza e valore naturalistico, come quello che è possibile ammirare in questo breve percorso. Queste risorgive in particolare alimentano il Musestre, che scorre attorno all’area: due suoi rami si incontrano proprio nel bosco. Dopo aver trovato la cache vi invito ad osservare l’acqua che sgorga tra la vegetazione e le molte specie animali e vegetali presenti. Prestate particolare attenzione a non disturbare l’ambiente e buona caccia :) (le coordinate potrebbero non essere totalmente precise)

Bosco degli Ontani (alder woods) is a natural area characterized by the presence of many small pools of resurgence, or outcrops of the water table: the meteoric and river waters descend into the subsoil through the gravelly soil of the high plains and then emerge tens of kilometers further south, pushed by the impermeable ground of the lower plain, in a narrow band (between 2 and 30 km depending on the area). Being filtered for a long time by gravel and sand, the resurgence waters are particularly pure, clear and fresh (constant temperature of 12-14 degrees) and create landscapes of remarkable beauty and naturalistic value, like the one that can be admired in this short journey. These resurgences in particular feed the Musestre, which flows around the area. After finding the cache, I invite you to observe the water that flows between the vegetation and the many animal and plant species present.
