Welcome to the City of Moundville Alabama.
The city of Moundville is a city in Hale County. It was incorporated on December 22, 1908. Originally called Carthage and was established as a town in 1823. Home of the Moundville Archealogical Park that was once the site of a powerful prehistoric community that at it's peak was the largest American city north of Mexico. Moundville is also home to the Hale county High School Wildcats. Enjoy our little city.
