In my travels, I recently came across Pay It Forward/Croling 7 (GC8YW5G) which in turn had been placed because Croling had previously come across a cache that someone else had hidden, and so on and so on ad infinitum, or at least ad May 2000. I have found lots of caches at this point, and I have hidden several but I hadn't considered placing a cache as a kind of tribute of thanks to a cache hider and indeed to all the cache hiders through the history of this game we all love and play. Of course, there is never a requirement that I or anyone else must hide caches, that is just not our way.
I hope that you enjoy this boardwalk cache. You might have lots of company if it is a good day, so you might want to try to be a little bit surreptitious. The views are wonderful, and at the very least you will see a mother whale and her cavorting child.
