This is in memory of the children of Joe and Ida Smart. Who raised their 11 kids around the Butternut area. This is a ‘Smart Series’ of caches to honor the families. They have been gathering over the decades to keep the extended families connected to the Butternut area. As we are gathering for the 2023 Smart Reunion, I was surprised to see the limited geocaches in this historic area in Wisconsin. Placements of the caches have reminded us of the nostalgic locations.
