Geocache Description:

Every day is Earth day! Try and remove a piece of trash from this island while here, it doesn't get many visitors! Feel free to add any pictures you take while looking for this cache and leave a favorite point to attract others here if you enjoyed!

Welcome to Knowles Pond!

Animals you may see while here: Loons, Bull Frogs, Blue Darners, Damselflies, Beavers, Green Frogs, Painted Turtles, Mergansers, Snapping Turtles, Kingfishers

Island has a tiny little rock for people to sit and enjoy the water. Island looks like a big turtle in my opinion. Pond used to belong to a nearby farm but got donated. It's a gem because there are literally no homes on the shoreline whatsoever. I almost never see that these days for boating water. I would recommend doing a circle of the island before looking for the cache just to ensure no loons are nesting on the island!

There's an interesting abandoned farmhouse of some kind over the berm in the south-west corner of the pond for anyone interested.
