Taffatal

Die Taffa ist ein linker Nebenfluss des Kamp, der das westliche Horner Becken und die daran im Westen anschließende Wild entwässert. Der Name leitet sich von slawisch Dabina ab, was soviel wie „Schluchtbach“ bedeutet. Die Taffa mündet in Rosenburg in den Kamp.

Diese Runde führt Euch einen Teil durch das wildromantische Flußtal der Taffa. So nah
der Stadt lädt diese kleine Wanderung ein die Natur zu genießen, die Geschichten der
Gegend zu entdecken und ein paar Caches zu finden.

Etwas im Wald versteckt befindet sich die Wegkapelle mit profiliertem Dreieckgiebel (bezeichnet 1684) und ziegelgedecktem Satteldach. Im Giebelfeld befindet sich eine Rundbogennische mit einer Steinfigur des Hl. Georg als Drachentöter aus dem 18. Jahrhundert. In der mit einem schmiedeeisernen Gitter abgeschlossenen unteren Hauptnische befinden sich einige Heiligenbilder. Das Marterl steht am alten Wallfahrerweg nach Maria Dreieichen.

The Taffa is a left tributary of the Kamp, which drains the western Horner Becken and the adjacent Wild to the west.

The name is derived from the Slavic word Dabina, which means "ravine stream". The Taffa flows into the Kamp in Rosenburg.

St George's Chapel

Somewhat hidden in the forest is the wayside chapel with a profiled triangular gable (inscribed 1684) and a tiled saddle roof. In the gable field there is a round arched niche with a stone figure of St George as a dragon slayer from the 18th century. There are several images of saints in the lower main niche, which is closed off with a wrought-iron grille. The shrine is located on the old pilgrimage route to Maria Dreieichen.
