Taffatal
Die Taffa ist ein linker Nebenfluss des Kamp, der das westliche Horner Becken und die daran im Westen anschließende Wild entwässert. Der Name leitet sich von slawisch Dabina ab, was soviel wie „Schluchtbach“ bedeutet. Die Taffa mündet in Rosenburg in den Kamp.
Diese Runde führt Euch einen Teil durch das wildromantische Flußtal der Taffa. So nah
der Stadt lädt diese kleine Wanderung ein die Natur zu genießen, die Geschichten der
Gegend zu entdecken und ein paar Caches zu finden.

Früher stand im Taffatal auch mal der Gedenkstein von Friedrich Ludwig Jahn (1778-1852),
der als Begründer der Turnerbewegung in Deutschland gilt.
Er war Lehrer in Berlin und richtete dort 1811 den ersten Turnplatz ein.
Seit 1886 gab es auch in Horn einen Deutschen Turnverein.
Anläßlich des 25 jährigen Gründungsfestes wurde am 8.September 1912
im Taffatal ein Gedenkstein enthüllt.
Dieser Gedenkstein wurde Jahre nach dem 2. Weltkrieg in die Stadt Horn, vor die Hauptschule verlegt.
The Taffa is a left tributary of the Kamp, which drains the western Horner Becken and the adjacent Wild to the west.
The name is derived from the Slavic word Dabina, which means "ravine stream". The Taffa flows into the Kamp in Rosenburg.

There used to be a memorial stone to Friedrich Ludwig Jahn (1778-1852)
in the Taffa Valley, the founder of the gymnastics movement in Germany.
He was a teacher in Berlin and set up the first the first gymnastics centre there in 1811.
Since 1886 there has also been a German Gymnastics Club in Horn.
A memorial stone was unveiled in the Taffa Valley on 8 September 1912 to mark
the 25th anniversary of the club's founding.
This memorial stone was moved to the town of Horn, in front of the main school, years after the Second World War.
