TAFFATAL
Die Taffa ist ein linker Nebenfluss des Kamp, der das westliche Horner Becken und die daran im Westen anschließende Wild entwässert. Der Name leitet sich von slawisch Dabina ab, was soviel wie „Schluchtbach“ bedeutet. Die Taffa mündet in Rosenburg in den Kamp.
Diese Runde führt Euch einen Teil durch das wildromantische Flußtal der Taffa. So nah der Stadt lädt diese kleine Wanderung ein die Natur zu genießen, die Geschichten der Gegend zu entdecken und ein paar Caches zu finden.

Die Raschmühle
Das Horner Taffatal war einst dicht mit Mühlen besiedelt - heute sind diese kaum mehr bekannt oder gar in Vergessenheit geraten.
Die zu Mühlfeld gehörende Streusiedlung Taffatal besteht seitdem nur noch aus
einigen wenigen Häusern bei der Raschmühle.
Die Raschmühle war auch sehr lange in Betrieb und stellte die modernste und
leistungsfähigste Mühle des Taffatales dar.
Erst 1980 wurde der Betrieb stillgelegt.
The Taffa is a left tributary of the Kamp, which drains the western Horner Becken and the adjacent Wild to the west.
The name is derived from the Slavic word Dabina, which means "ravine stream". The Taffa flows into the Kamp in Rosenburg.

The Raschmühle
The Horner Taffatal was once densely populated with mills - today these are hardly known or have even been forgotten.
Since then, the scattered settlement of Taffatal, which belonged to Mühlfeld,
as only consisted of a few houses near the Raschmühle.
The Raschmühle was also in operation for a very long time and was the most modern and
efficient mill in the Taffa Valley.
The mill was shut down in 1980.
