TAFFATAL
Die Taffa ist ein linker Nebenfluss des Kamp, der das westliche Horner Becken und die daran im Westen anschließende Wild entwässert. Der Name leitet sich von slawisch Dabina ab, was soviel wie „Schluchtbach“ bedeutet. Die Taffa mündet in Rosenburg in den Kamp.
Diese Runde führt Euch einen Teil durch das wildromantische Flußtal der Taffa. So nah der Stadt lädt diese kleine Wanderung ein die Natur zu genießen, die Geschichten der Gegend zu entdecken und ein paar Caches zu finden.

Rundweg Rosenburg Elisabethkapelle
Wer das Taffatal weiter erkunden will bis zur Rosenburg, wo die Taffa in den Kamp mündet hat noch ein paar nette Ausblicke.
Die Elisabethkapelle wurde 1908 errichtet vom Humanitären Geselligkeitsverein aus dem Bedürfnis heraus, ein eigenes Gotteshaus im Ort zu haben. Die romantisch im Wald gelegene Kapelle wurde anlässlich des 60. Regierungsjubiläums von Kaiser Franz Josef I. errichtet. Sie wurde der Hl. Elisabeth von Thüringen geweiht. In der Darstellung über dem Eingangstor erkennt man die Züge der Kaiserin Sissi.
Sie wurde 2008 aufgrund ihres 100 jährigen Bestehens umfassend renoviert.

The name is derived from the Slavic word Dabina, which means "ravine stream". The Taffa flows into the Kamp in Rosenburg.

Rosenburg Elisabeth Chapel circular route
If you want to explore the Taffa valley further to Rosenburg Castle, where the Taffa flows into the Kamp, there are still a few nice views.
The Elisabeth Chapel was built in 1908 by the Humanitarian Society out of the need to have a place of worship in the village. The chapel, romantically situated in the forest, was built to mark the 60th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Josef I. It was dedicated to St Elisabeth of Thuringia. You can recognise the features of Empress Sissi in the depiction above the entrance gate.
It was extensively renovated in 2008 to mark its 100th anniversary.
