This is another of a series of Jigsaw Puzzles highlighting the Longreach Local Government Area.
But more than just a Jigsaw!
Life is a puzzle. Make sense - solve the puzzle!
Who has never found a cache in the fork of a tree? We love forks of trees - they provide very convenient cache hiding spots. I could write a song about forks in trees - well, maybe some jingles could better suit my talents. 🤡
I have also seen them called "wishbone trees". I have a hunch that you will find many, many caches in the forks of trees whilst out west. They keep caches off the ground, and provide protection from the sun and passing animals. 🔆🐾
Did you know that forks in trees have a scientific name? They are called "Co-dominant stems" - where two or more arising branches emerging from the junction are of near equal diameter and this type of junction in a tree is often referred to in layman's terms as 'a tree fork'. But I ramble - what am I thinking! 👮🏼♀️
