Our family has called Sidney home since 2008. Right around 2017, Sidney was booming and this place held a lot of promise. There were lots of great rumors about all the people and businesses coming, but there were also other rumors about a local sporting goods supplier being bought out.
The later was true. This town has been through a lot. Many great families left, other great families have come. Someone bought a big ad in the paper that said, "Whoever is last to leave turn off the lights..." Well the lights are still on in this amazing town!
This spot is probably a place you have never been to and to me it is a place full of hope. Some may see this place as a sad part of Sidney's history. But when I come out here - it is a place filled with hope. May you see it that way too.
