Alouette- Pitt River Trail- North
(APRT- N) Cache Series
This cache series has been placed along the Alouette- Pitt River Trail- North section. This is part of a dyke trail that begins at Sheridan Hill next to the Pitt River quarries. It continues Southwest along the eastern side of the Pitt River and then turns east along the North shore of the Alouette River.
Suitability of the Dyke Trail:
This is a flat dyke trail. The trail that follows this dyke system has universal access and is maintained for walkers, cyclists, joggers, strollers, and wheelchairs.
Trail Access and Distances:
The distance along the trail from the Pitt River Quarry to the Harris Road Trail Pavilion is 5.4 km one way or 10.8 km round trip.
Access Points:
The trail can be accessed from Harris Road at the North end and the trail Pavilion on Harris Road where the Alouette-Pitt River Trail and Trans Canada Trail Meet.
Parking Area, Picnic Tables and Bathroom Facilities:
The best parking area is just off the North end of Harris Road. There are no bathroom facilities at this parking lot.
About the Cache:
Preform tube hidden under a bench along the trail. Please re-hide so it won’t be seen by muggles or fall out of its hiding spot.
