This cache is located near Brúnavarða (Cairn on the Edge). The base of the cairn measures at 1,5 x 1,5 meters square and 3,5 meters in height. The cairn is located 545 meters (1788 ft.) over sea level.
This was a popular rest stop in the 18-1900s, because of the view this place provides. Many tourists are amazed by the view. One example is the Icelandic poet Matthías Jochumsson (1835-1920). He said "Praise to thee who gave me life. Finally I see Fljótsdalshérað".
The cache is a small green container with a logbook, but no pen. So, BYOP.
