There is nothing magical about places on the map where three territories meet...or is there? I have always been fascinated by such places; in fact, I have past caches dedicated to the intersection of three counties (GC6XMMB, GC48AAY) and three states (GC1PAWZ).

California's counties are the inspiration behind this puzzle; and the closest tri-county spot to my home coords, Yolanopa, makes an appearance. Each of the fifteen locations below identifies a spot near which three counties meet. For each location, determine the three counties, alphabetize them, and focus on either the first or last of them. For example, if one of the clues brings you to where Modoc, Shasta, and Siskiyou counties come together, you would need to focus on either Modoc or Siskiyou.
