When: Sunday 6th August 2023 14:30-16:30hrs
Where: Blue Lagoon nature reserve.
What: This is a CITO with a difference. The Open Spaces department at Milton Keynes City Council manage this area & they have asked if we can help spruce up existing infrastructure within the reserve.

At GZ is the first of two signs that we have been asked to paint over the graffiti on these signs. We need to clean down with wire brushes & wash off, before then repainting with spray paint. These are metal signs, that we are preserving. The top needs to be reached on a step ladder, so we will need a safety person to hold each ladder to ensure they don't slip while in use. Therefore we need 'safety' people at both sign sites and two teams to brush, clean and spray paint. 6/8 people at each sign site will be required.
Also all around the site there are wooden benches and picnic tables that have become a little unloved. We have been asked to give them a good rub down with a stiff brush to remove moss, and dirt so that they can be used more. There maybe a chance that bird muck will also be on them so we would advise you bring a mask, and gloves (rubber or gardening) would be advisable too. We will have brushes available for people to borrow but if you have a stiff hand brush of your own, like floor/mat brush, scrubbing brush or even a nail brush would be useful too. Please provide your own gloves.
There is always an opportunity to litter pick too if you would prefer. Please take care if litter picking, do NOT attempt to pick up any 'sharps' for safety reasons! If by any chance you do come across them, please take note of the location using what3words. This can be passed on to MANDMADEandMAN, or the campsite office, so that it can be passed on to our liaison at the council. All sacks of rubbish can be taken to the car park and on to the campsite bins.
