Trailhead Kiosk for Goffstown Rail Trail
In 2022, the solid-rock-seekers adopted the active caches which had been hidden by "Grampa Cardigan," because he was no longer able to get out caching. He had placed a cache named, Eagle Scout Project - Trailhead Kiosk, GC35YR4, to recognize the work of Chris Maloney for his Eagle Scout Project to create the kiosk. However, the cache at the kiosk kept going missing, presumably due to non-cachers removing it. We wanted to keep a cache here to make geocachers aware of the obscure trailhead, but we needed a better solution than simply replacing the cache a few times every year. This cache is our attempt at meeting both objectives. While we were updating this hide, we hid three other multi-caches nearby, too!
The posted coordinates are for the Trailhead Kiosk. However, rather than finding a container at the kiosk, you'll need to gather some information to determine the final coordinates for the cache. There is a brass plaque on the kiosk titled "Eagle Scout Project of Christopher Maloney." Add the two numbers that appear on the plaque and use the answer to determine the coordinates of the final container:
- 2110 - N 43° 0.171' W 71° 30.756'
- 2111 - N 43° 0.153' W 71° 30.721'
- 2146 - N 43° 0.143' W 71° 30.684'
- 2147 - N 43° 0.129' W 71° 30.656'
At the final location, you will need a tool, which is provided 48 inches (4.0 feet) away from the host. Please replace after use.
When you have your answer, it will be a walk of less than two tenths of a mile to go find the cache.
