This cache has been placed with permission from the city of mentor.
This is a memorial cache to my father in law, Tim (Diddy) Ockuly, one of the greatest humans I have ever had the chance to know. Sadly Tim passed due to cancer in the early summer of 2022, but his memory will always live on with us. Back in the early 2010s there was a cache around here, which when looking for one of Tim's daughters came across a snake and immediately yelled for Diddy's help. Tim being the superhero he was, dashed to her aid, and as memory serves stumbled across the cache at the exact same time. It was a great day, and a memory we have all laughed about many times since.
The cache is a camouflaged ammo can, containing the types of goofy trinkets Tim, would carry with him while caching. The log is in a basil leaves container in memory of the time he misheard his wife's grocery list, and tried to save the evening by cracking a wry smile and exclaiming BAY-SIL LEAVES when asked where the bay leaves were (he immediately ran out to rectify the situation).
Once you find the cache, if you are so inclined feel free to yell a hearty Tim O to the skies in honor of such a fine man.
