A Lajvér-patak medrébe került völgyzáró gát által mesterségesen létrehozott tó 57 hektár vízfelülettel rendelkezik, mintegy 3 millió köbméternyi tiszta, ma is szinte ivóvíz minőségű víztömeggel. Igen intenzíven halasított, főleg ponty, amur és süllő - de egyre inkább fehér halak is foghatók. Rengeteg horgászhelyet kínál: mindenki találhat magának egy kis öblöcskét, beszögelést, egy földnyelvet vagy magányos bokrot a kedvenc időtöltéséhez. - by Fairy

Szálka is located in the hearth of Szekszárd Hills equally 12 kilometers from the cities of Szekszárd and Bonyhád. East of Szálka lies the Sárköz with its authentic and unique folk art, to the South is the Völgység and to the West is the Hegyhát. The village stretches along two valleys forming a V-shape and is surrounded by a fascinating landscape with forested hills.
Szálka Lake and Forest:
Szálka Lake winds along the longest valley of Szekszárd Hills. The 67 hectares lake is the major attraction of the village. The surrounding forests shelter a wide variety of game and famous for their outstanding deer population. In 1891 a deer with a 14.5kg antler was shot in these forests which had been a world record for a long time. 67% of the local area is forest which guarantees excellent air quality and microclimate. Available activities in Szálka: horse riding, fishing and hunting, hiking and bike riding in the forest, boating, arts and crafts, wine tasting, and pig sticking.
