Marsh Barton Station is the most recent station to open in Exeter (and Devon), opening in July 2023 after construction started in April 2021. It was initalled planned to be constructed in early 2017, opening at the end of 2017. Devon County Council designed the station along with Network Rail and GWR in order to deliver rail access to Marsh Barton.
The nearby trading estate of the same name employes more that 7000 people from across the South Devon. In addition it provides easy access to the beautiful Riverside Valley Park, a nature haven running in parralel to the River Exe and Exeter Canal.
This station is located on the "Riveria Line" linking Exmouth, Exeter and Paignton. The line has picturesque views of the River Exe and Devon Coastline which is well worth a ride.
