長崎街道（ながさきかいどう）は、江戸時代に整備された脇街道の一つで、豊前国小倉（北九州市小倉北区）の常盤橋を始点として、肥前国長崎（長崎県長崎市）に至る路線である。57里（約223.8km）の道程で、途中に25の宿場が置かれた。
The Nagasaki Kaidō (長崎街道) was a road across Kyūshū from Kokura to Nagasaki, used by daimyōs for the sankin-kōtai, and also by the chief of the Dutch trading post at Nagasaki on whom a similar obligation of visiting the shōgun was imposed. Tokiwa-basi is the starting point of the Nagasaki Kaidō. The route stretched 228 km and took travelers approximately one week.

譜代大名の小倉藩主は、小倉城下の紫川口と兵庫、紫川口と難波の間を自前の船で航行できました。
Daimyos in Kyushu had to cross the Kanmon Straits for the Daimyo Sankyo Kaikyo. Tokura, the feudal lord of Kokura, could navigate between Murasaki Kawaguchi and Hyogo under Kokura Castle and between Murasaki Kawaguchi and Namba.
しかし、黒田氏や鍋島氏などの外様大名が船で行けるのは、黒崎と赤間関または大里と赤間関との間だけだったのです。
However, the only places that foreign feudal lords such as the Kuroda and Nabeshima clans could go by ship were between Kurosaki and Akamaseki, or between Dairi and Akamaseki.
幕末の長州との戦争で焼失し、現存するものはほとんどありませんが、その跡地には石碑が建てられており当時を偲ぶことができます。
It was destroyed by fire during the battle with Choshu at the end of the Edo period, and very little of it survives. However, a stone monument has been erected at the site of the ruins, which still retains the appearance of those days.
