This property was purchased in 1888 for a total of $900. In 1957, the Forest Anglican Cemetery (Townsend and Albert) was closed, and graves were moved to the Beechwood Cemetery. Graves from the Roman Catholic Cemetery (Main & Queen) were also moved to Beechwood Cemetery around this time. It has served as the primary Cemetery for Forest residences ever since.
