The Unseen University is a primary location in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. Officially, it's a school for wizards, but whether any learning actually takes place is certainly up for debate. Their official motto, Nunc id Vides, Nunc ne Vides (Now you see it, Now you don't) could just as easily apply to geocaching as well.
The Discworld books are some of my absolute favorites. If you're interested, the first book in the series is The Colour of Magic, however I'd personally recommend starting with Equal Rites if you'd like to know more about the Unseen University, and then come back to The Colour of Magic later on.
