EBT|MUC IV/23 - A Special Day: Thread the Needle

The Team G.Okesch from Munich regularly hosts events on "special days", called "Ein Besonderer Tag" or "EBT" for short.

We use these events to chat about geocaching, discover trackables, get hints for puzzle caches and in general have fun with our hobby. We usually meet at a place that fits the topic of the day, and since today is National Thread The Needle day, our team will set up the meeting in Munich at the needle sculpture in the North of town, and since one of us - grexter - is in Bend at the time, he will be hosting the team event in Bend,

Grexter will meet you at the top of Pilot Butte in Bend, at the coordinates, on July 25th from 11:15am to 11:45am. He may well be there a bit longer if the chats are interesting and if the sun is not too scorching hot on the day. After that, he'll head into town for lunch, probably a sandwich.

If Pilot Butte should be closed (we could not find out anything about that from here in Germany), grexter will find a new location and update the listing/make an announcement. We do hope the location is fine for hosting an event, we think at least the view will be great.

Update (2023/Jul/16): grexter has checked with Oregon State Parks and the road to the top should be open. However: if you plan to hike to the top, the Terrain Rating should be 2.5 (less than two miles but some elevation change). Information can be found on the Pilot Butte Website (at oregon.gov) and is also available as a PDF.

Grexter is looking forward to meeting local cachers and having a chat, and if you have TBs that want to go to Europe, there will pobably room in his inventory :) !
