Geocache Description:

Yarrowee Creek Nerrina wetlands

The Yarrowee Creek Nerrina wetlands is a beautiful area that is home to a wide variety of both birdlife and frogs

It is believed that the name Yarrowee Creek was derived from Yaramlok which was given to the river by the Wathaurang people

According to historian Jennifer Barnes the aboriginal word means   "gum tree growing in water '

Barnes also suggests that the aborigines called it Nambrook
