In 2022 this bash-cache was a memorial to Sophie the Maltese. She passed unexpectedly shortly before the 2022 MWGB and remains forever in our hearts and forever on our team.
This year saw the recent loss of Gus the Ratchi. Gus was a Rat Terrior/Chihuahua mix that one of our children chose during their college years. Gus was directly responsible for Zoe the Maltese joining our family, followed quickly by Daisy and the formation of Team Maltese. He was named after a character from the TV show Psych, thus leading to Zoe being named after a character from the TV show Eureka. As for Daisy, well...the name just fit her personality.
Through the years Gus was an active part of college apartments, graduations, marriage, first house, children, then another house with a big yard and pond for him to explore and enjoy. He was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, and was always a part of his family's activities from decorating Christmas trees to hanging out at the campgrounds. He was small in size but huge in heart. He was a friend to all he met, and he will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Run free across the rainbow bridge little Guster.
