Vyrazíme z výchozích souřadnic a hodinu budeme kroužit v blízkém okolí po modré a žluté turistické. Přivezeme pytle, vezměte si prosím vlastní rukavice a další nástroje, které budete potřebovat. A samozřejmě bezpečnou obuv, repelent a opalovací krém.

That's why we're organizing this CITO to clean up a bit the surroundings of the hiking trails around Potštejna Castle. Please join us.
We will set off from the starting coordinates and circle the nearby area for an hour along the blue and yellow tourist trails. We will bring sacks, please bring your own gloves and other tools you will need. And, of course, safe shoes, repellent and sunscreen.

Potštejn (dříve též Potštýn, německy Puttenstein či Pottenstein) je rozsáhlá zřícenina hradu na zalesněném kuželovitém návrší jihovýchodně od obce Potštejn v okrese Rychnov nad Kněžnou ve východních Čechách, je dominantou střední části Podorlicka. Areál hradu je chráněn jako kulturní památka.
Gotický hrad byl vystavěn v souvislosti s kolonizací povodí středního toku Divoké Orlice Půtou z rodu západočeských Drslaviců zřejmě na konci 13. století. Po Půtovi byl také pojmenován – Půtův kámen, Puttenstein, zkomoleně Potštejn. V části literatury se pro dobu vzniku hradu uvádí rozmezí let 1270 až 1287.

Potštejn (formerly also Potštýn, Puttenstein or Pottenstein in German) is an extensive castle ruin on a forested conical hill southeast of the village of Potštejn in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou district in eastern Bohemia. It is a dominant feature of the central part of the Podorlicko region. The castle grounds are protected as a cultural monument.
The Gothic castle was built in connection with the colonization of the basin of the middle course of the Divoká Orlice by Půta from the West Bohemian Drslavic family, apparently at the end of the 13th century. It was also named after Půt - Půt's stone, Puttenstein, corrupted Potštejn. In the literature, the date of the castle's construction is given as 1270 to 1287.
