Yehoshua Stamper (Stamper) (8th Bab 1832, 9th July 1852 – 5th Besivan 1578, 4th June 1908) was one of the founders of the city of Petah Tikva.

Stampfer conceived the idea of establishing neighborhoods outside the walls of the city of Jerusalem and establishing an agricultural settlement in the Land of Israel. He was involved in attempts to purchase land in the Jericho area, near Ramla and between Hebron and Jobrin, for this purpose.

Stampfer was also the living spirit in digging the first well in the colony. He organized the guarding of the colony and showed leadership when the colony was attacked on Shabbat and Stampfer left the synagogue, took a rifle, mounted his horse and organized the residents to go to its defense.

Stampfer represented Petah Tikva in the executive committee of "Zion Lovers" in Jaffa, was among the initiators and organizers of the Land of Israel Church in 1773, initiated and worked to establish an Orchard Association that marketed citrus fruit from all the Judean colonies,
