As a fisherman I love this fishing spot, I have decided to leave a cache here. (Note: *totally recommend fishing here after you have a search *)
There are so many cool niche things to find while searching for my cache. The beautiful oyster shells which have slowly changed colours, the gentle waves hugging the shoreline, the small crabs scattering into their burrows upon the sounds of a crazy geocacher's footsteps, the mangroves with diverse growth directions and complex root systems or even the old boat in the area which can be discovered.
Have a good scout around, it is accessible by kayak/canoe/dinghy but you will need to get out onto land, the water is too shallow for any large boats. It is also accessible on foot from the end of Bignell St, Illawong, 2234, NSW, Australia, there is a small path down to the water from the street, follow the path, with lose leaf litter it can be slippery so wear good shoes, when you get to the water it will be a bit muddy and sandy. If going to access on foot, the best time is low tide, much safer and shouldn't get wet. Please note my coordinates might not be 100% correct but it is that general area.
As this is my first cache hidden I'm not sure how good my hiding skills are so a few extra hints, It is located at about eye level. Something to do with a boulder like the cache title says.
Best of luck and please respect the local environment, don't leave rubbish and if you see any please pick it up and dispose of it, as this area gets water carrying trash from the river it can often get caught between the mangroves so please help keep this area clean for the wildlife and future geocachers!👍
