Easy access, a little hilly.
Not far from the former village of St. Marie is the State Center Cemetery. Many people believe it was a St. Marie cemetery, but it wasn’t. State Center was a separate village, with predominantly Germans living there. The cemetery contains a number of headstones reflecting this, such as the iron cross with its German inscription. The village was only in existence for 20 years with less than 100 people.
This is an active cemetery. The cache is not near any markers. If a service is in progress, please return at a later time.
