This cache takes its name from the first line of a 1973 hit song by Bobby Goldsboro called, "Summer (The First Time)". It's a ballad about a young man's first romantic encounter, and you have to listen very closely to the lyrics, because therein lie the clues you need to solve the puzzle. The link below will take you to the music video. You'll also have to do a bit of math (thus the D2), but hey, it ain't quantum physics, so don't panic! A pad and pencil or calculator will help.

A is the first digit of the date this all unfolded.
What was her age at the time that they met? Find that, add 4, then divide by 5. That's B.
For C: Where did they sit when he first met her? It's a single word. Take the number of letters in it and subtract 2 for the answer.
How many things did he know about love at the time? Answer that, and you'll have D.
What color was the Chevy? For E, take the number of letters in your answer and subtract 1.
Let's see if you really paid attention... what was his age at the time he was singing the song? Multiply the first digit by 2 to get F.
Now for G. Something was steaming when they first met (and it wasn't their passion; that came later!) Hint: it's a single word. Take the number of letters in it and subtract 4.
H is for hot, like the afternoon. (All together now!) How hot was it? Add 6 to the first digit of the temperature and you'll have H.
How many miles did they walk? Figure that out, add 5, and that's I.
J.... c'mon, you should already know this one: How many years passed? Subtract 1 from that for the last digit!
