Metroid (メトロイド Metoroido) è un videogioco a piattaforme del 1986 sviluppato e pubblicato da Nintendo per Famicom Disk System e più tardi inserito nella sezione "Capolavori" su Super Smash Bros, da cui il titolo di questa cache. La protagonista è la cacciatrice di taglie Samus Aran, che si troverà ad affrontare i pirati Metroid sul pianeta Zebes. A capeggiare i Pirati, come scoprirà Samus, è l'Intelligenza Artificiale creata dai Chozo per monitorare il pianeta, "Cervello Madre", il cui centro di controllo è protetto da una password.
Metroid is a videogame published in 1986 by Nintendo for Famicom Disk System. It was later included into the "Masterpieces" section of Super Smash Bros, hence the title of this Geocache. The hero of the story is the bounty hunter Samus Aran, fighting against the Metroid Pirats on planet Zebes. The leader of the pirates, as she will find out, is an AI created by the Chozos to monitor the planet, called "Mother Brain", whose control centre is protected by a password.

Pirates sometimes jam the signal to make it harder for bounty hunter to access the control centre.
