Geocache Description:


Azor is a local council in the Tel Aviv district of Israel, near Highway 44. Azor is the most local council in Tel Aviv. It was declared as a local council in 1951. In 1968, where also in 2003

 

It seems that the settlement in the place began about 6,000 years ago, when the swamp that covered the Ono Valley retreated[source needed]. Archaeological remains testifying to the historical development of Azor and its surroundings are currently displayed in the Azor Museum.

 

The name Azor appears in an Assyrian inscription in the 8th century BC
